In just a few short verses, Hebrews 4:14-16 paints for us a beautiful picture of Jesus Christ. He is divine -- the Son of God and our great, heavenly high priest. He is also human -- tempted just as we are, and yet without sin, and sympathetic to our weaknesses and our human failings. Jesus Christ gave his life on the cross and was resurrected in triumph over the grave so that all who believe in him might enter confidently into the throne room of God to find the mercy and grace that we as sinners so desperately need. This is Jesus Christ, and He is at the center of our worship as we receive and respond to the grace and mercy of God this week.
We'll begin by receiving the truth of God’s Word from Hebrews 4:14-16, and then respond in praise as we sing Grace On Top Of Grace and Grace Alone. Following a special Kids’ Time with Marcia Jarrett, Pastor Andrew will open the Word with his message entitled “God Is Gracious and Merciful.” We’ll again praise the Lord in response, singing His Mercy Is More, and conclude with prayer, Giving, and a Benediction. If you have a prayer request you’d like to share this week, please email it to: prayer@meadowsfamily.org.
Remember that attendance is limited at our in-person services right now, so you must register if you’d like to attend. Prepare your heart and mind to confidently draw near to the Lord in worship, and to receive his grace and mercy together.
