Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
This week in our worship, we consider the truthfulness of God. We see in this attribute of God, as we have in so many others again and again, that God doesn’t simply possess this attribute as a trait, but that he is the perfect and complete manifestation of it. In other words, the Lord doesn’t merely tell the truth, but he is the truth.
So this week, we will once again worship through song in response to God’s Word. First, we’ll hear Christ’s claim to truth in John 14:6 and respond with the song, Jesus. Then we will pray aloud responsively from Psalm 25 and Psalm 86 and again praise the Lord in song with The Way.
We’ll have a special Kids’ Time with Marcia Jarrett, and then Pastor Andrew will dig deeper into this attribute of God with his message “God Is Truthful.” Responding in worship together once again we will take Communion and sing Christ Our Hope in Life and Death. We’ll conclude our services with prayer, Giving, and a Benediction. If you have a prayer request you’d like to share this week, please email it to: prayer@meadowsfamily.org.
Find a few moments to prepare for worship as you prayerfully engage with the Scripture and songs for this week. Remember that attendance is limited at our in-person services right now, so you must register if you’d like to attend.
