This year, I’ve had one of those years where I have just about lost it, given up, thrown in the towel. I keep saying how am I, what can I, I don’t have, I need, well now I finally see the answer that has always always been right in front of me. I am not!!!! I can not!!!!! I don’t have the power or ability too!!!!
The Lord, my God, is and does!!!!!
Only He can do, get me through, pick me up, and keep me going!!!! I hear so many times; people say the Bible says that God will never give you more than we can handle. Yes, the Bible says -“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are being tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” (1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT), but we aren’t the ones that have the power to withstand it, but it is God who gets us through. It’s His power, and it’s Him giving us the ability. It’s only with Him by our side.
I want to take this moment for anyone else like me who this year has just been the pits and life and or situations are just out of your control, you can’t figure a way to keep going, you don’t know which way is up, you have so many burdens or problems you can’t breathe. STOP NOW! Drop to your knees and cry out, talk with God. Tell Him everything no matter how big or small that is going on and give it over to Him. “Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”” (Matthew 11:28-30 NLT)
Jesus is more than willing and capable to do far greater things than we could ever even imagine. But remember, after you pour out your heart, make sure you leave it there with Him, it does no good to pick it back up. After all, He is the creator; there is NOTHING He can’t do. I pray my experience will help you know you are not alone, so many of us are hurting and going through rough things or have been through them, and we need each other to share with, encourage, pray with, and for each other.
If there is ever a time you need an ear, shoulder, or someone to lift you up, call, text, message, or stop by, and I’d love to be there for you. We need each other, but let us never forget we have a Father who loves us so much more than anyone else ever. He is never more than a whisper away. God bless you, dear reader.
