Hello Faithlife Proclaim group,
I just submitted log files for help after our computer crashed again. We have had a problem with the new media booth computer shutting down and restarting without notice from time to time, always when Proclaim is running. This is a new computer we use in the Sanctuary for worship. We have had our computer dealer bench test the computer and found no fault in machine or system, not been able to reproduce the shutdown. What happens is the mouse pointer stops responding to touch, alerting me the screen has frozen, no response to keyboard also. Then about 5 seconds pass and with neither visual notice, nor audio alert, machine shuts down, and restarts to desktop view. This has happened about a dozen times since January, but it has been about 3 months since it last happened. Proclaim is always in use when the crash happens, but not usually during an operation like switching to/from ON AIR, or copying or moving a file. Yes, this has happened during worship service, issue is very visible.
We are using WINDOWS 10 Home confirmed automatically updated this week, AMD Ryzen 5, AMD Firepro W600.
Have you seen this issue before? God Bless and thank you.
- Hi NHCC, We have not heard of this issue, but thank you for bringing it to our attention so we can look into this and thank you for submitting the log files so we can make that happen.
- We have also experienced this issue. We have not reported it, since it is illusive. But, the common factor is that it only occurs when Proclaim is running. Our laptop is about 1-2 years old. We're running Win10. All Win updates are done regularly. We have had it happen at least 4 times since Jan 2020. Interestingly, it only occurs when we're on-air. It doesn't occur during the creation of Proclaim files.
- Interesting, Russ, that it has only happened on-air. I will have to watch for that also. So far, it has not reoccurred.
