The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble?
Psalm 27:1.
These are important words to remember. Christians have no need to wring their hands or churn with fear. The question I ask myself that brings me back to peace is this one: "Do I trust Him or don't I?" It really is as simple as this.
God is not hampered by political leaders, He uses them for HIs purpose. He is not bound by viruses, He uses them also. The worst Satan can throw at us is nothing in comparison to His sheltering strength.
I choose trust over doom and gloom. I embrace joy rather than anxiety. I am OK with not knowing what God is doing because I know God's character. He is holy, righteous, good, compassionate, and loving.
So, whatever is causing you to churn today, give it to the Lord and embrace the gift of life you have been given. Don't waste the day churning about what God has completely under control.
Antidote to Churning 1.11.21
The Lord is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
