We would rather put up with anything than be an obstacle to the Good News about Christ. (1 Corinthians 9:12).
What powerful words from the Apostle Paul! His goal in life was to point people to Jesus. He did not want any of his preferences, pet projects, or personal issues to detract from the good news of the gospel. He was willing to put up with whatever was necessary to get the gospel message out without the distractions of his "issues." What a powerful challenge to us.
Sadly, we have too often seen the message of the gospel bruised because of material and ultimately inconsequential things. May God help us to keep the main thing . . . the main thing in our lives.
