Well, church family, we once again enjoyed an intimate and spiritually fulfilling experience as we gathered at FBCB this morning for praise and worship, prayer, fellowship and most importantly - being taught the Word of God. Reverend Pastor Lyle Pettit joined us once again. We were so pleased to see his dear wife Jeanette as well, recently recuperated from Covid. Pastor Pettit's oration was blessed of God.
We were able this morning to extend our prayers to those who are protectively at a distance because of the Pandemic, and those experiencing illness; among them Leon and Cindy Gobel. Please take time to include them in your prayers as they struggle with Covid: Leon in hospital and Cindy at home.
Our Pastoral Search Committee hopes to conclude negotiations this week with a very special, humble servant of the Lord who has ministered as Elder in a local church and has been on a journey of preparation to move into full-time pastoral ministry, being called to continue to make his hometown of Bisbee his mission field and alongside his high school sweetheart/wife and their 5 children wrap his arms around a church family. If all goes well this week, we will be forwarding his candidacy for election as our new senior pastor to the congregation. Stay tuned.
Don't forget: NO SUNDAY SERVICE AT FBCB THIS COMING SUNDAY, MARCH 7! Instead, we are headed over for a joint service with First Southern Baptist Church of Warren. Art and Wanda Peace will be ministering in song and bringing the Word. Art and Wanda are evangelists and singer/songwriters who tour nationally. We will Come and join us at 10am! We will be broadcasting the service as usual, but from FSBCW.
As ever, if you have any needs or questions of the church, please call 520-432-3904.
Praying for you all,
Scott Woods, Chairman
