I am brand new to Proclaim. I have a few questions.
1) Can proclaim be installed on a Windows 10 PC for "All Users". My church has a laptop that is used to develop AND deliver programs on Sunday. Several different people use the same laptop and have their own Windows accounts on the laptop.
2) In a previous church life, I used SongShow Plus to develop memorial service programs. This would include:
Opening: Looping slideshow (video) as people were coming in.
Start: Static JPG image of the deceased with text overlay
Next: Scripture reading (No problem here other than text formatting - Apostles Creed)
Next: Slideshow video with music
Next: Song lyrics (No problem here)
Other steps similar to above.
I have figured out workarounds for the static JPG image and the videos. I had a real problem with the Apostles Creed as I had to do a copy & paste from a web source into a "Content" insert.
- I forgot to add the step to add the JPG to the Content item. Click Background in the top right
- Thanks for the advice. I added 20 JPG files - total 144 MB. It took over ten minutes to upload to the cloud and then a minute or two to do the sync. My internet speed is 180 Mb down and 11 Mb up. I watched the network performance (Task Manager) and saw that it was bursty with long periods of no upload. Making a change to "Auto advance every 3 seconds" took more time to sync. "Repeat" is grayed out. How do I add a background to the Image Slideshow? I have a single image of the deceased with a text overlay. It is in the warmup section. It defaults to 7 seconds and then jumps to the Service section which is Content: Text. That waits for manual advance. How to I get the single JPG image to remain static on the screen until I manually advance?

OK, David Smith, repeat is greyed out because you have the slideshow in the PRE-SERVICE LOOP, it will automatically repeat when it gets to the end of the slideshow until the start time that is listed by the light blue arrow in my earlier screenshot is reached, then it will automatically move to the WARM-UP section. As to the photo in the WARM-UP SECTION advancing after 7 seconds you can change that at the bottom (see the new screenshot). Remember, that is in seconds, if the special song is 2 minutes and 40 seconds, that Auto-Advance would need to be set to 160 seconds. We usually add a special song to the WARM-UP section with the photo of the deceased, and then adjust the Auto Advance to the length of that song so when the song ends, the service will automatically advance to the service section. Then, I generally place the identical photo as the first item in the SERVICE section with the auto advance turned off. When the special song ends it will be time to begin the service, but since the photo in the WARM-UP section is the same as the first photo in the SERVICE section it will be seamless. Unfortunately, any background that you want to add to photos in an image slideshow need to be added first, Proclaim doesn't allow that in Image Slideshows. If the default black background isn't acceptable, you would have to add the background using another program and then upload them again.
