I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
the LORD bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold
from those who walk uprightly.
(Psalm 84:10–11).
There is this false notion that living life according to the Bible is to "miss out" on the fun in life. It could not be further from the truth.
The Psalmist declares it is better to be the person who holds the door into the Kingdom of God than to live in the way of the world. It is better to have the opportunity to find life. peace, joy, contentment through the ways God prescribes, than to pursue the perversions of the world.
The Lord did not give us His Word to restrict us, but to set us free. The ways of the world are temporary and take you into a hole that leads to bondage and an empty lostness. The ways of God touch the depths of our souls and become the delight of our lives.
God gives us the choice and we make it minute by minute. He lets us choose to think our will, our choices, our sinful desires, are a better barometer of happiness than His way. In other words, He will let us choose the way of the fool if that is what we want.
The Choice 6.8.21

No good thing does he withhold
