Preparing for Worship - July 25, 2021
It’s the last Sunday of the month, and that means Family Fellowship Sunday! This week we gather once again, outside on the lawn in one combined service, to worship the Lord through the reading of Scripture, singing, praying, and taking Communion.
As we are wrapping up our month-long focus on the shared value of trust, we will begin with the idea from Colossians 3:16-17 that True Worship Builds Trust. With this in mind, our worship will begin with an expression of trust in the Lord as we read Psalm 40:1-5 and respond in song with Great Is Thy Faithfulness and Before The Throne Of God Above.
After a special Kids’ Time, the song How Deep The Father’s Love For Us will prepare our hearts and minds to take Communion together, followed by a declaration of our hope and trust in the Lord, In Christ Alone. Then we will take some extended time to pray together and respond in song with the hymn Trust And Obey. Finally we will conclude our time of worship this week by praying for our Giving, and be sent out with some brief Announcements and a Benediction. As always, tell us how we can be praying for you. Send your prayer requests to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Prayerfully reflect on the Scripture and songs above and come prepared for gathered worship this Family Fellowship Sunday. You can find this week’s song playlist on Spotify and YouTube. Everything you need to know about our Sunday worship services can be found on our website at meadowsfamily.org/sundays.
May our worship together build our trust in the Lord!
