2 Corinthians 9:8 CSB "And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work."
We often worry we cannot give to God because we will not have enough left to care for our needs and our family's needs. We also fail to consider the things we deem "our needs" are actually only "our wants." The Apostle Paul says it is redundant to remind believers that we cannot out-give God (2 Corinthians 9:1, 6–7).
Pause, think, and pray! God is able—has the power to give all the grace (blessings) we need to do His will. God has the power to give all the time. God can give us all we need. God can always give us the grace to use the resources entrusted to us to excel in all good works he has planned for us to enjoy. Giving back to God by helping others with their physical and spiritual needs is to enjoy one of God's graces (blessings) to us.
Lord Jesus, You give me so much and demand so little. All you ask is that I trust You for eternal life and earthly needs. Then by Your grace, "Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7 NASB). Lord, I know it was redundant to remind me, but thank you: "Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully" (9:6). "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" (9:15).
Thank You for allowing me to participate in the ministry of giving. Because giving is proof that I trust You, I get to witness people glorify God with thanksgiving. My obedience to my confession of the gospel of Christ and the liberality of my contribution is only possible because you grant me the grace to trust You enough to supply all I need, in all things, all the time (9:13). Giving supplies the saints' needs and overflows with many thanksgivings to God (9:12). Thank You, Jesus, for supplying all I need to always participate in the ministry of giving. Thank You, God, for giving me the grace needed to trust you in everything I do. I Jesus' name, amen.
