Are you ready for the end? This weekend we covered 1/2 our list from 1 Thess 5 that helps us prepare our thinking and actions for when Christ returns. The message is on our Youtube page here and the sermon notes can be downloaded by clicking here.
Also, this month at Valley we have some cool ways to serve our local community that you can be part of.
The first is the TRUNK or TREAT Friday, October 29, 7-8:30 pm: WE NEED A TON OF CANDY…collecting begins NOW and can be dropped off during any service. You can also help by decorating your car and being part of handing out candy to the neighborhood children who come to visit. If you do want to help by hosting a car you can let us know by emailing Andrew.
The other opportunity is to partner with the Cowlitz Chaplaincy to care for first responders. Valley has been asked to adopt the Longview Fire Department. Our task is to help fill care baskets by writing multiple thank you cards for each member of the department. Valley has labeled thank you cards at each campus and you can also write your own card or have your kids draw pictures or write notes also. The goal is to overwhelm them with an expression of gratitude!
I look forward to seeing you again this coming weekend as we continue in 1 Thess. 5.
