“Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living One. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.
(Revelation 1:17–18).
The Book of Revelation is not an easy book to read, and it is a book with several different interpretations. At the beginning of the book, God told John why He gave us this message. He wrote it so we would not have to be afraid as we face the future.
What is it that takes our fear away? The reality is that the Lord is very much alive, and He holds the keys of death and Hades.
Stop this morning and search your heart. Are you fear-filled? Will you face the future with confidence, knowing God is in control of all things? Are you willing to rest in the One who holds the keys of death and the grave? Align your life with His priorities, and you will be on a path that keeps you steady even through the storms.
