What an amazing promise we have in Jesus Christ our Lord! Such a great promise that we are now called to live in light of the promise.
Lives that are alert.
Lives that are confident.
Lives that stick together as a church.
You can learn what this looks like by checking out this past weekend's message here and finding the outline here.
One of the applications from this weekend is to find one person to encourage this week (and maybe every week). Have you decided who you will encourage yet? As you do, I look forward to seeing how we all grow stronger together in Christ.
Now, as we are a few weeks away from this year's trunk or treat. All the info you need is found right here and there is still the opportunity to be part of this great event to connect with folks in our community. Keep bring loads of candy and if you are looking to participate in the event, send an email to Andrew.
Also, we are now 45 days away from Thanksgiving and 75 days away from Christmas!
I share this to encourage you to begin to prepare for the holiday seasons and also to begin thinking about how to help your family focus on Christ before the holiday rush begins. In the coming weeks, we will have some resources to help you prepare so keep a lookout for them!
But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:8–9
