My version of Logos is 9.8 SR-1, and for about a month it will not complete a single cycle of indexing. It will run all day and/or all night and never get past around 50% complete, and then the indexer icon disappears and goes no further, though upon restarting Logos it indicates it's still running the indexer. Currently it's been running for about 10 hours today and is only at 36%. I can leave it running the rest of the night and get up tomorrow to find the icon gone and have it start all over again at 0% if I close and open Logos.
I have tried manually starting various types of indexing.
I have exited and restarted Logos.
I have rebooted my computer.
I have adjusted my computer's memory.
I have cleaned every cache I can find on my computer.
I have deleted the index file and started it again.
Even if I add resources, it has the same results.
All of this I have tried many times over the last month to no avail.
I have no idea what caused it because up until some particular day about a month ago it was fine.
Any suggestions or comments?
- I would ensure diagnostic logging is enabled and submit logs showing what is going on - details at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027869132-How-to-Enable-and-Submit-Log-Files. Hopefully the indexer.log file will provide some information about what is happening
- I really appreciate this help, Graham Criddle, especially the link, as I have never submitted a log file before. Hopefully, the support team can help. Blessings!
