Exodus 33:19 And [the LORD] said (to Moses), “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The LORD (YHWH).’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.
Thought for Today
If you asked Moses what the greatest moment of his life was you might think it would be a difficult decision. Was it the battle of miracles with Pharaoh? The parting of the Red Sea? Receiving the Ten Commandments? I don’t think he would choose any of these. Near the end of his life Moses was blessed with the opportunity to actually see the God of the universe pass by him. It was a singular blessing in the history of mankind. What did Moses see in that moment? God’s goodness. When God passed by where Moses was hidden in the cleft of a rock everything he saw that he could define as God was called goodness. How amazing to be loved by a God Whose very nature is absolute goodness. A God who will have mercy on whom He desires; even someone like you.
Prayer
Lord God, I praise You for Your goodness that has blessed me so abundantly in my life. Help me reflect Your goodness, even imperfectly, into the lives of the people around me. Amen.

Gratitude is not only the memory but the homage of the heart rendered to God for his goodness. — Nathaniel Parker Willis
Quote of the Day
No man or woman can be strong, gentle, pure, and good, without the world being better for it and without someone being helped and comforted by the very existence of that goodness. — Phillips Brooks
