As I am sure you know, parts of Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, and Kentucky were decimated by tornadoes earlier this week. The death toll is expected to exceed 100 and (especially in Mayfield, Kentucky), to clean up, rebuild, and reestablish power will take months. Let us keep the residents in the affected parts of these states in prayer continually.
There is no doubt that "The effectual fervent prayers of the righteous avails much", but we need not get complacent with praying only. We all can and need to pray for those who are suffering but, some can also volunteer to help clean up and rebuild, and there is plenty to do. Others may have the ability (and hopefully the willingness) to make financial contributions to help offset the staggering costs of rebuilding all that was destroyed.
