33 Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!
34 For who can know the LORD’s thoughts?
Who knows enough to give him advice?
35 And who has given him so much
that he needs to pay it back?
36 For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.
(Romans 11:33–36).
From time to time it is good to realize how small we are compared to the greatness of our God. It is too easy to think we are in charge and do not need God's help in life. In these times we must stop and ask: Am I really wiser than God? Am I stronger than He is? Does He wait for me or must I wait for Him?
Sometimes you just have to take your proper place in the scheme of things. When we see how small we really are . . . the grace of God becomes that much more amazing.
