Revealing Christ Every Day 6.22.22
Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. (Colossians 4:5–6).
We are a testimony (good or bad) in everything we do. When we wear His name, people believe they should see Jesus in us.
When our language is foul, our demeanor is abrupt or rude; when tact is absent and all we think about is what we want, people are turned away from Christ. When we don't have time for others, when we walk past people without a word, when we speak in trite phrases rather than listen, people find Christ unattractive and just one of many options.
But, when we act in the opposite to the examples above, when we live as Jesus told us to live . . .suddenly people are drawn to Him. In the end, the Lord will evaluate our lives based on the impact we had for Him in our daily lives.
O Lord, open our hearts and our minds, give us compassion and a hunger for lost souls to be found. Help us to glorify you in the things we do and say. Help us to show you to the world around us. Amen.
