35 Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray., (Mark 1:35).
Think about this: Jesus got up early to talk to His Father in prayer! The strength of our Lord was found in HIs vibrant relationship with the Father! I would have loved to have heard some of those conversations.
Most of us struggle with prayer. It sometimes feels like we are just talking to the air. Prayer is not about making requests, it is about a relationship with God. We know how important it is to keep the conversation going in a relationship. Our relationship with God is no different. We talk WITH God, not simply TO Him. Prayer is not a duty to perform but a privilege to enjoy. It is not a meaningless exercise but a vital lifeline. If Jesus needed to pray . . . so do we.
