SUPPLIES: paper, colored pencils or crayons, craft materials (optional)
This week’s part of God’s big story reminds us God is faithful and always keeps His promises, no matter what. Even though Jacob and Isaac took matters into their own hands and made mistakes, God still kept His promise to bless the nations through Abraham’s descendants. God’s promise to Abraham was a special promise called a covenant, which means special promise. We make lots of promises! People sometimes break their promises, but God never breaks His promises. God’s covenant with Abraham was to give him special land, to enlarge Abraham’s family, and bless the nations through them.
This week, take some time to create a family covenant, or promise about how your family will live. Together, come up with a promise your family can make about how you will live, what is important to you, and how you will show what’s important to you. Pray and ask God for wisdom as you write it. To make it more special, create a poster to remind your family of the covenant.

God's Promises
SUPPLIES: paper, writing utensil
To help remember that God always keeps His promises, make a Promise List that you can always come back to when you need a reminder from God. Make a list of as many of God’s promises from the Bible that you can think of. For example: God promised to never flood the earth again or God promises to be with me.
Once your family has created a list, allow each family member to choose one promise from the list. Then take turns praying and thanking God for that promise. God is faithful and He always keeps His promises, no matter what!
To help get you started, here are a few promises you can look up in the Bible: Isaiah 41:10, Joshua 1:19 and Isaiah 54:10.
