I have video (split tracks) for our cantata that I'm trying to put into proclaim. It is just playing the full track with voices but I want just instrumental. How do I do that?!
- If you have just the audio tracks you can use a free software called Audacity. I have used it in the past and it is pretty easy to use. You can edit any songs and remove the vocal tracks with it. - The songs may have to be mp3? You may want to look at their website for all the details. - It also does a great job for changing keys, for worship rehearsals etc. To seperate the audio and video I use either Adobe Premiere Elements or Cubase depending on what I am doing with the components. thanks
- If the videos are split track, the sound is in stereo with the vocals on one side and music on the other. You should be able to pan the mix to the side that is music only.
- Also, Jamie Byrd, as Pastor Ron Kubinski says, you can use Audacity AND it can pull the audio from a video as well. You would choose Import>Audio, then navigate to your video. Once your audio is loaded, use the dropdown (second screenshot) and choose split stereo track. Once the tracks are split, you close the vocal track (third screenshot) and then choose File>Export and choose your format and you now have an instrumental track for use in your cantata. You can also duplicate the instrumental track, then make a stereo track from that.
