What makes the Faithlife Study Bible different from other print and digital study Bibles?

The Faithlife Study Bible is unlike any other study Bible—print or digital. It’s from the makers of Logos Bible Software, which has been creating digital Christian content for 20 years. The innovative FSB gives you a huge advantage when studying the Bible, because you can delve through layers of insightful content, connect and share with others, and choose your favorite translation.

What devices and platforms does the Faithlife Study Bible run on?

The FSB is available as an app for iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets, including the Kindle Fire. The HTML5-based Faithlife Study Bible web site, at http://bible.faithlife.com, works with even more devices, including Macs and PCs. You can also access the FSB content—including your own notes and highlights—using the powerful Logos Bible Software desktop software for Macs and PCs.

How does the Faithlife Study Bible connect me to groups?

You’ll be able to create and manage your groups at Faithlife.com. The FSB supports sharing your notes, highlights, prayer lists (coming soon), and reading plans (coming soon) with others in your private groups.

How will the community features affect my privacy?

Faithlife is designed for privacy! Everything in Faithlife is built to support sharing within groups. Each group has detailed control over privacy and sharing. You can have a large church group that’s reasonably open and an intimate small group that’s invisible to anyone who is not a member. We understand that people need control over privacy as they grow and minister together spiritually.

Can I interact with the Study Bible without Internet access?

Yes! The FSB app (for iOS and Android devices) is designed for offline access. And when you are online, it syncs everything to the cloud, ensuring your notes, highlights, and more are backed up and available wherever you want them.

What Bible translation is used?

The FSB automatically adapts to the ESV, NIV, LEB, KJV, NASB, NKJV and NRSV translations. The Lexham English Bible (LEB) is included at no charge, and the others are sold separately.

What is your statement of faith?

The FSB conforms to the statement of faith of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. The FSB is designed for broad use; it presents denominational and interpretation differences in an objective way, acting as a resource for study rather than attempting to settle every difficult question.

Does the Faithlife Study Bible include the Apocrypha?

No. The FSB is built around the 66-book canon of Old and New Testaments.

Can I buy the FSB in book format?

The Faithlife Study Bible was designed digital; multi-layered notes, innovative infographics, photos, and videos, and a connection to the Faithlife.com community all made the FSB app a unique experience. But there is something special about holding a physical book in your hands. In 2015, we made the decision to begin the process of adapting the Faithlife Study Bible for print. The result is the NIV Faithlife Illustrated Study Bible, published in partnership with Zondervan.
