Safe Haven Community Church News
Construction Update:
The Elders & Building Committee of Safe Haven and our General Contractor, Ricardo, have completed the negotiations with the Town regarding our building permit! The deposit required has been negotiated to its lowest possible amount, as well as any potential sticky points accepted. We are now in position to pay the deposit money and wait for Ajax to sign the agreement. The beginning is very near!
Pancake Breakfast:
Tomorrow, April 15th, is our first Pancake Breakfast of the year! There will be pancakes, sausages and all the fixins for the cost of $10.00 per person. Please come and enjoy good food and fellowship! All are welcome and we have lots of room for everyone!
Coin Fundraiser:
This fundraiser has been successful in offsetting some of our expenses. I am pleased to announce that since its inception we have received:
$657.15
In the scheme of things this may not seem like a lot of money but every nickel given helps Safe Haven Community Church! Please continue to support this venture.
Mandarin Senior Fellowship:
An opportunity has become available for a senior fellowship get together - 11:30 on May 26th. David and Irveen Powley have indicated that they would like to have this fellowship for Safe Haven seniors. Details as follows:

April 15th - Gabe Jacome
If you would like to have your name included in our birthday announcements or if you not want your name shown, please contact Sid at sid.snider@outlook.com. We do not need the year you were born.
Wednesday Night Prayer & Praise Meeting:
We are so pleased that the Lord has blessed us with very successful prayer meetings! The wall has been removed to make the room larger and we are back in business.
ALL ARE WELCOME!
Join us on Wednesday Nights at 7pm at 82 Church St., for a time of prayer and some worship. We are so excited to see God moving on Wednesday nights so far! It is very encouraging and we would love to see you there.
Basement Flood & Renovations at 82 Church St.
We have hopefully fixed the flooding problem in the basement. We have purchased a new sump pump, and raised all the cabinets up off the floor by 3 inches. The interior wall on the main floor in the south room has been removed to create a more open space. Thank you Jozef & Martin Javor for your hard work!
St. Francis Centre July and August:
During the months of July and August, the St. Francis Centre will be closed for window renovations. If you have noticed, the church that occupied the St. Francis de Sales school behind us is no longer being used by them. Safe Haven has secured this space for the 9 Sundays during these months.
