Sam Hamstra, Jr., Adjunct Professor of Worship, received his Ph.D. in Historical Theology from Marquette University. He is the founding pastor of Living Hope Church which meets on the campus of Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois. His publications include Reformed Confessionalism in Nineteenth Century America: Essays on the Thought of John Williamson Nevin (Scarecrow Press, 1995); The Reformed Pastor: Lectures on Pastoral Theology by John Nevin (Pickwick Press, 2006); and Principled Worship: Biblical Roots for Emerging Liturgies (Wipf & Stock, 2006).
