Sebastian Brock

Sebastian P. Brock (b. 1938) is a pioneer in the study of Syriac, and a member of the British Academy. He is a professional fellow at Wolfson College, and former reader in Syriac at Oxford. He was awarded the Medal of Saint Ephrem the Syrian and the Leverhulme Prize. He is the author of The Holy Spirit in the Syrian Baptismal Tradition, The Bible in the Syriac Tradition (Syriac Version), and An Introduction to Syriac Studies.
