  • Pray for the many church members and their families who are facing COVID now. Let us take this occasion to praise God again for the gift of health and also for the frontline health workers and medical and nutritional scientists who assist us in caring for our bodies. May God grant healing to all.

  • The plan right now is to celebrate Lord’s Supper during worship on October 10. If there is a change, the Consistory will announce it. We also plan to be back in-person for worship next Sunday, October 3. Some people may still need to finish their quarantine and can join us electronically from home in such cases

  • Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 2 at 7:00 pm. We will be treated to an evening of world class piano from Calvin Jones, International Recording Artist and Film-Score Composer. Calvin grew up as a son of a RCUS pastor. As a Christian, he creates music for God’s glory.  He joins us all the way from Ukraine as part of his Paramount Tour, so invite your friends and family to share in this unforgettable evening of classic and contemporary music. Allow yourself to get lost in the Awe of our Creator. (www.calvinjones.com) The concert is free and an offering will be taken for him.

“The Precious Purpose of Suffering”

1 Peter 1:6-9

Theme:

The suffering that God sends to His people has a precious purpose

1. Sufferings are different, but providence is the same (verse 6)

2. Your faith is too precious to be pain-free (verse 7)

3. The purpose of more love for your Savior (verse 8-9)
