Announcements

WELCOME BACK! Let us remember in prayer all who have experienced particular losses during these past few months. Let us continue to be careful and wise as we go forward in the coming weeks. And let us remember in prayer our own shut-ins and those who are vulnerable or sick and unable to join us yet.

The Ladies Aid is holding a food drive for the Salvation Army. They are especially in need of boxed meals, peanut butter and jelly, soups and paper products. Please leave your donations in the kitchen or the bin in the Fellowship Hall by Sunday, June 14. If you have any questions, please contact Judy Borgwardt.

A brief Memorial Day service will be led by area veterans at our cemetery tomorrow morning, shortly after 9 a.m. You are welcome to join in person, if able.

PRAY

Continue to pray for the Crossings Crisis Pregnancy Center. Instead of collecting donations through ‘baby bottles’ this year, please see this video for an update on the ministry and on ways to donate.

PRAY for Kenneth Benfield, who broke his hip and is now in rehab at St. Mary’s Next Step. Pray that God would ease his pain and bring physical recovery and spiritual joy and peace through this trial.

PRAY for Roger Luckow and family. The family has set a memorial service now for Ann Luckow: it will be held Friday, June 5. It will be held at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home in Manitowoc, with a public visitation at 10 and a service led by our Pastor at 11 a.m. Please attend if able, remembering social distancing precautions.

PRAISE God for a successful Synod meeting this week, held via Zoom. See the Press Release for more information, or ask the Pastor or Elder Larry Stock.

Remembering the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus

Romans 5:6-8

Theme:

The cross reveals the deep, deep love of Jesus

We know the depth of someone’s love for us . . .

1... by what it costs him

2....by how little we deserve it

3....by the greatness of the benefits we receive in being loved

4....by the freedom with which they love us
