Have you ever wanted to give God a piece of your mind? If so, did you? Or did you keep quiet and lay low, or do your best to avoid the whole topic? And even if you've never had a quarrel with God, how do you handle conflicts with other people? (In a Productive Conflict workshop on Thursday, I learned that conflict can be defined as "a difference of opinions involving strong emotions." So it's safe to say, we all have conflicts with other people sometimes.)

No matter how you handle conflict, Jonah's done it all. He's run away, he's begrudgingly gone along with somebody else's idea without really voicing his opinion, he's shouted his strong opinion out for all to hear, and more. Perhaps the only thing Jonah hasn't done is found a way through to the other side of conflict.
