Repentance: Repentance involves attitude and acts that aim at setting things right. 


In our own relationships we often miss repentance altogether and relate to others with either non-judgmentalism or condemnation.

Paul’s goal was not condemnation, but to lead the Corinthians to repentance and restoration. 


Healthy Christian relationships highly value repentance, as a result seek out relationships that will help them to repent, and seek to help others repent.


  1. Healthy Christian’s highly value repentance.
  2. Seek relationships that help you repent. (2 Corinthians 7:14)
  3. Become the type of people who helps others to repent.



6 Ways to Cultivate Redemptive Relationships

  1. Value repentance in the lives of those we love.
  2. Seek godly grief, not worldly grief, in those we love.
  3. Be willing not only to speak, but to live out the gospel for those we love.
  4. Rejoice in the spiritual growth of those we love.
  5. Place your confidence in God, not in ourselves or in those we are calling to repent.
  6. Remember the one who has loved us, and cultivated repentance in our hearts.
