We are so excited to announce the opening of community group registration!
We will have nine groups meeting on three different days in five distinct neighborhoods. This will only be a two month semester of community groups beginning the first week of June. We will be doing a study of second and third John.
Groups will be limited to 12 in the original registration so as not to fill a group too much where it cannot missionally invite neighbors and friends. Please know that we may ask you to shift to another group on the same day if one gets too full.
Please pray about what group God would have you join and consider the following three priorities:
Three Priorities When Selecting a Small Group:
1) Proximity
Groups are strategically located so that we might infiltrate particular neighborhoods with the gospel. Prioritize joining a group that is near your house so that you can invite neighbors and friends to join you for Bible study. Additionally, you are more likely to attend your group faithfully if your group is a short walk or drive from your house.
2) Missional Strategy
If there is not a group near your house, consider what community you would like to help reach with the gospel. For example, our Charlestown group is in a community that is totally unreached by our church. We need evangelistic and passionate individuals to join this group in hopes of seeing that community reached for Christ. Consider also who you can invite, help disciple, and where God can best use you and your spiritual gifts.
3) Diversity
Our groups operate off of a semester system so that no one group stays together forever. We want church members to get to know one another across generational and cultural lines. We want all of our over 100 members to know each other's names and stories. Do not choose a group based upon your comfortability with a certain teacher, but rather choose a group in hopes of building new discipleship relationships.
