The Mind Behind The Bible

For more than a decade, Heiser’s writings illuminated the biblical worldview for readers of Bible Study Magazine. He was one of the magazine’s founding editors when it launched in 2008, and he has written more than a dozen books focusing on Bible study and the supernatural (including several novels). His most popular book, The Unseen Realm, has sold more than 100,000 copies and recently was developed into a documentary movie. Last year Heiser became executive director of the school of ministry at Celebration Church in Jacksonville, Florida. Some scholars shy away from the strangeness of the biblical world, but Heiser embraces it, inviting people to engage not just the words of Scripture but the ancient context behind them.

Leithart, author of the new book The Ten Commandments: A Guide to the Perfect Law of Liberty.
