Call to Repentance and Assurance of Pardon: “…Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."… The words, "it was credited to him" were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. - Announcements  -

Today we celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Table). Those who have publicly professed their faith in Christ being examined by a church and holding to the orthodox doctrines of the Christian faith, including justification by faith alone, and are in good standing as members of Christ’s church, are welcome. Please humbly prepare your hearts accordingly. Please remember to fill out a communion card or a guest communion card(by the bulletin board) if you are going to partake of the Lord’s Supper. It is served only on the main floor and if you are unable to come forward if you sit in the last two rows it will be served to you, when you motion to the elder or deacon.

Thanks to the youth group for the sunrise service this morning. Thanks also to the youth and their parents for the breakfast!

Women’s Guild is collecting clean gently used white t-shirts and white bedsheets. Much of this will get made into bandages for Global Health Ministries. They will be rolling bandages on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

Thanks to everyone who came and helped with Feed My Starving Children! They packed meals for Romania and particularly the refugees from the Ukraine. Everyone there packed a total of 37 boxes which will feed 37 people for a year. The money donated from the Youth and Church members will feed a family of 7 for a year!

Pork Chop Dinner will be May 1st! There is a sign up sheet for helpers on the bulletin board and flyers on the bulletin table. Youth Group will also help serve!

We will be having an outdoor service yet this spring when the weather gets better.

Care Ministry sign up sheet is on the bulletin board!

The Women’s Guild sells boxes of cards($5 for a box of twelve) in the entryway.

Some have asked if we can give something to help with Christians in the Ukraine. The Orthodox Presbyterian church has a missionary in Ukraine, so we can collect offerings and channel them through the OPC.  Rev. Hacquebord serves in Ukraine.

Heidelberg Seminary has been training men in the Philippines and now have started to train men for the pastorate in Africa through online classes. Those interested in helping with either of these would be appreciated.

VBS for the church will be June 6th-10th.

Heidelberg Reformed Youth Camp will be July 5-8. For members of the church, the youth group offsets the cost so it’s $20 for the week for members.

Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.  And in Jesus Christ, His only-begotten Son, our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.  I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy, universal Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

The Reason For Joy -

2. We will face sorrow, but we face it joyfully in light of Jesus resurrection!
