Circle of Love

Romans 8:28 New Living Translation
And we know that God causes everything to work togetherfor the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
So yesterday we talked about us loving God. It really is a beautiful cycle. John 3:16 starts it all off. God so loved us He gave Jesus. Romans 5:8 shows Jesus’ love for us because while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Our response is loving God back. Our love for Him is evident when we keep His commandments. (1 John 5:3). And as we do that, as we live in obedience, God loves us differently than the rest of the world. You’re probably wondering what I mean by loving us differently. Well, we’re His children now. Contrary to popular belief, everyone is Not a child of God.(John 1:12) No one has been a Christian all of their lives. No one at all is born a Christian. You have to be born again to be a Christian. And it is incorrect to say we have a “Christian Nation” because each individual has to individually make a decision to belong to God and choose to love God in order for the whole nation to be Christian.
Now where was I? Oh yes. God loves His children differently. If you have children you know what I mean. You are going to be nice and loving to people in Wal-Mart because that’s how a Christian should be. BUT, you are not buying groceries or gifts or even toilet paper for all those people in Walmart. But for your child or even your Godchild, you will head to Walmart, even if you hate it, and cause that child’s needs and wants to be met. Do you see the difference. When we love God, He causes things for us. Spend some time thinking about this. Go back and look at the scriptures I shared today. Look at the circle of love. Increase your faith in the love of God and increase your willingness to have love for God.
Lord, Your love is absolutely overwhelming. There are so many lies out here in this world about Your love. Teach me the truth. Open my eyes to see the truth. Help me to live in that truth and to continually live in Your love. In Jesus’ Name…
