All I Have Needed

Lamentations 3:21-26 ESV
“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him." The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”
When I first decided to look into this scripture it was because the hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness” was on my heart, but it has taken me days to get to that. The Word is so rich that you can dive into a few verses for days and see truth that you hadn’t seen because you’re focused on one principle. Throughout 2021 I found myself singing to the Lord one particular line of the song, “all I have needed Thy hand has provided”. It reminded me who was in charge of my life. It reminded me of God’s faithfulness to me, and it gave me hope. He provided me comfort in my grief. He provided finances when there wasn’t enough. He provided a way when there was absolutely no way it could happen. He provided patience when my project wasn’t completed on my timeline. He provided health and safety. He provided strength when I was tapped out. I could go on and on, but as I look back over all the stuff that I personally experienced in 2021 I know without a doubt that everything I needed He provided.
Not only has God provided what I needed, He has given me things I wanted but never asked Him for. I’ve come to realize that when we worship God for His faithfulness, He demonstrates that quality even more in our lives. There are so many people out there right now trying to deconstruct their faith. They want to tear down what they’ve been living because they don’t know what to believe. They’ve had bad experiences with church and church people and they doubt and question everything. The truth is we all simply need to focus on one thing. The fact that God is faithful. Build everything on that truth. God is faithful to save us from sin and everything connected to it. God is faithful to provide all that we need. God is faithful and will continue to love us. God is faithful and will keep His Word to us. God is faithful and will give us wisdom, knowledge and understanding so that we can know Him better. God is so faithful, He will provide all that we need.
God, I praise You for your faithfulness. All I have needed Your hand has provided. Thank You. Thank You for all that You have done and all that You have in Your heart to do for me. I am so grateful. In Jesus’ Name…
Spend a little time in worship with this song….
