Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Pastor Phil Bogen 1008 N 120th Ave. Wausau, WI 54401
February 10, 2019 Fifth Sunday after Epiphany

WELCOME TO TRINITY! We are part of God's epiphany.  In baptism God calls us. In Holy Communion Christ feeds us and sends us to the world-just as God called Isaiah, and just as Jesus sent Simon, James, and John.  The good news handed down to us is meant to be passed on to others.  A joyous greeting to one and all!  A special welcome to those who are visiting with us. Please take time to sign our guest book in the entry leaving both an address and a telephone number.

TODAY WE CELEBRATE HOLY COMMUNION.  All who seek the Lord's Grace and forgiveness and are baptized, irrespective of age or denominational membership are welcome to the Lord's Table. Children who have not received communion instruction are invited to come forward for a blessing.

Confession & Forgiveness

P:  In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.              C:  Amen.

P:  Gathered in God's presence, let us confess our sin.

Silence is kept for reflection.

P:  Mighty and loving God,   C:  we confess that we are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves.  We seek our own way. We divide the body of Christ.  In your mercy, cleanse us and heal us. Let the words of our mouths, the thoughts of our hearts, and everything that we do be filled with faith, hope, and love.  Amen.

P:  Hear the voice of Jesus; "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me to proclaim release to the captives." In the name of Jesus Christ, I proclaim to you that your sins are forgiven and you are released. The joy of the Lord is your strength, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are yours forever.

C:  Amen.
