In today's passage we find 5,000 men and more searching for direction, purpose, and a leader. Like so many in the world, without Jesus we find ourselves in remote places, isolated and lonely, but without hope and unsatisfied. Jesus offers you the same as He offered these 5,000+ a call home, compassion, and bread that sanctifies.

Passages: Mark 6: 14-29 Description: Herod? John the Baptist? This week we return to the one whom came preaching a baptism of repentance and preparing the way for the Lord and discover what befell him after his arrest. What we find in the text is discipleship is tied together both in following and in suffering. Evil does exist, but evil can not stop everlasting life with God. Take heart with the One who has conquered the world.

Passages: Mark 6: 7-13; 30-32 Description: Following Jesus's departure from Nazareth, He now sends His disciples out to bring His message to the region in His name, however, He has very specific instructions for them. They are to take barely anything and must learn to depend on God's provision if they are to continue to grow as disciples. What can we gather from this today?

Passages: Mark 6: 1-6 Join us today as Jesus goes home, not to His heavenly one, but to Nazareth, a place filled with family, friends and those he knew growing up. But instead of a welcome, He is rejected and despised. How could this be? Join us today as we look at some of our struggles with relating to God and wrestle with the notion that even Jesus couldn't save some of those closest to Him.

Passages: Isaiah 25 Description: Easter morning is the cornerstone of our faith in Jesus Christ, the perfect lamb of sacrifice and atonement who gave His life and later rose from the grave, conquering death, and simultaneously freeing man from the fate of eternal separation from a holy and just God. Today, we recognize that Jesus is alive and the King of kings and made the impossible possible.

Passages: Isaiah 53 Description: Join us tonight as we gather to reflect and remember the promise of God to deliver His people from the death of sin and provide mercy through the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Tonight we celebrate the act of sacrifice that made a way.

Join us today as we conclude Mark 5. In these passages we find unlikely people tied together in the pursuit of hope in the midst of desperation. When we are desperate, who do we turn to and how do they greet us? If we turn to Jesus with our hope or out of desperation, then He greets us with faith, redemption and restoration beyond anything we can believe. Faith must be the thing that carries us beyond ourselves and with Jesus, that's possible.

Mark 5: 1-20 Description: In today's passage Jesus lands on the distant shore in the land of the Gerasenes and He is immediately met with great evil. Evil is in the world. It's a fact. Evil takes root in our hearts and pillages a man's soul. Likewise, the evil of sin is not something that we can escape on our own. Jesus however comes for us. He came for you and He alone is capable of rescuing us from things that seem too great to take on. The stronger man is here.
