Good evening, I would like to share with you 3 activities coming up, starting with, #1. Rev. Shipman invited White Lily to join the Prince of Peace Baptist Church in Philadelphia on July 9th for Rev. Shipman's 31st Pastoral Anniversary, we will be riding up on the bus on July 8th to stay overnight at the hotel. We "Need" to know who would like to go, that is the only way Sister Tonya and I can get an idea of how many rooms to block off at the hotel and the size of the bus we need, the price for the hotel and bus will be given to Pastor Coleman sometime this week(before Sunday March 5th), Can you please "Call or Text" Sister Tonya or Myself at (412) 251-1197 or (412) 620-3833 so we can get your information. 2. The seven-week paid training from the surveys that were taken in the West End of Pittsburgh, in collaboration with West End P.O.W.E.R and Pitt University Social Work, starts March 2, 2023 at 6:00pm (5:30 food will be served), please remember the youth will get $2000 to complete a project that they come up with to complete in the community together. 3. Starting in April, White Lily will be doing Fellowship & Biking! We will meet on Saturday Mornings at 8:00am, this is for anyone from First Time Bike Riders to Seasoned Bike Riders, No One Will Ride Alone, Someone Will Always Be Riding With You so please don't worry about keeping up, please advise if you need air in your tires or any other maintenance prior to April, we also are advising everyone to wear a helmet. Hello family, here are the notes for some upcoming gatherings: On September 10th, it is Feed the Hungry, to help pack the meals, everyone will meet at the Church at 11:00am Next, on September 18th the Women's Ministry will be hosting a "Honoring our Seniors" brunch, this will take place at the Community of Change Center directly after Church Service, if any Senior has not RSVP'd yet, please do so as soon as possible by getting in touch with Sister Chrissy Coleman or Sister Tonya Holt. (Please let Sister Faye know if you need a ride to and from) Next, on September 23rd and 24th is the Mini Retreat titled "Women Stand Firm" will be at the Community of Change Center, on the 23rd it will be Prayer, Praise & Worship, starts at 6:00pm, on the 24th the start time is 9:00am with Breakfast, Shopping at the Vendor tables, Word, Dinner & Painting, tickets are $50, please reach out to Sister Chrissy to get your ticket(s) as soon as possible, guest speaker is Min Angelique Strothers. Next, the Womens Ministry will be hosting "SockTober" Sister Tonya Holt is asking for Socks from everyone that is able to provide, these Sock will be adding to the Feeding the Hungry in October.....if you have any questions/concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me at your convenience.
