    How They Corrupt, 2 Corinthians 11:4

    2 Corinthians 11:4
    For if the one coming proclaims another Jesus, which we did not proclaim, or you receive a different spirit, which you did not receive, or a different gospel which you did not accept, you yourselves tolerate well.
    Deception through false prophecy
    No prophets today, 2 Peter 2:1

    But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.
    Prophecy ceased when the full revelation was given, 1 Corinthians 13:8

    Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will be rendered ineffective; whether there are tongues, they will cause themselves cease; whether there is knowledge, it will be rendered ineffective.
    Deception through a different gospel
    One based on law, Galatians 1:6

    I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,
    Using False Gospels
    Repentance of sin for salvation
    Making Jesus the Lord of your life
    Accepting Jesus into your heart
    Using fear - Judgment, condemnation, hell-fire
    A Gospel Requiring faith in your faith
    Gospel not based on grace

    Those Claiming to be Apostles, 2 Corinthians 11:5-6

    Paul Lacks Nothing in Comparison to These greatly superior Apostles, 2 Corinthians 11:5

    For I reckon nothing to lack from the superior apostles.
    Inferior - to come later, to be behind
    The rich Jew asking Jesus what he should do, Mark 10:20-21

    It has to do with falling short, Romans 3:23

    Those who fall short of the grace of God, Hebrews 12:15

    These men claiming to be superior apostles
    Only used once in Scripture (ὑπερλίαν)
    To understand the word we have to go to its root - exceedingly (λίαν)
    Very early in the morning, Mark 16:2

    The two demon possessed men of Gergesenes, Matthew 8:28

    Paul may be unskilled in speech, but not in knowledge, 2 Corinthians 11:6

    These “greatly superior” apostles used eloquent words
    The rulers of Israel claiming John and Peter were unskilled, Acts 4:13

    Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.
    Uneducated - not scribes
    Untrained - unskilled
    Paul rebuking the Corinthians saints for misuses of Spiritual gifts, 1 Corinthians 14:16

    Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who occupies the place of the uninformed say “Amen” at your giving of thanks, since he does not understand what you say?
    Paul made all things visible to them while before them, 2 Corinthians 11:6

    Cutting off an Occasion for Anyone to Boast, 2 Corinthians 11:7-12

    Did Paul Sin By Humbling Himself to bring them the Gospel for free, 2 Corinthians 11:7

    Or did I sin, humbling myself in order that you should be lifted up, because I freely announced to you the gospel from God?
    Paul took from others to service them, 2 Corinthians 11:8

    I plundered other assemblies, having received wages towards your service.
    Even in Need Paul refused to be a burden to them, 2 Corinthians 11:9

    And being present facing you and lacking, I did not weigh heavy upon anyone, for the brethren supplied my lack, after coming from Macedonia and in all I kept myself not burdensome to you and will keep.
    The Truth Concerning Christ is with Paul, 2 Corinthians 11:10

    The truth concerning Christ is with me, because this boasting will not be shut for me in the region of Achaia.
    Shut - that which is stopped or closed
    Every mouth before God, Romans 3:19

    Faith against opposition, Hebrews 11:33

    This was an act of love by Paul, 2 Corinthians 11:11

    Why? Because I do not love you? The God intuitively knows.
    Cutting off the Occasion for Some to Boast, 2 Corinthians 11:12

    But that which I do, also I will do in order that I cut off the occasion of the ones desiring an occasion in order that, they should be found by which they boast just as also we.

    The False Apostles Are Deceitful Workers, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

    They outwardly transform themselves into the apostles of Christ, 2 Corinthians 11:13

    For these false apostles, deceit workers, while being outwardly transformed into apostles from Christ.
    Even Satan can come as a messenger of light, 2 Corinthians 11:14

    And no wonder, for Satan himself is outwardly transformed into a messenger of light.
    These false apostles also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, 2 Corinthians 11:15
    2 Corinthians 11:15
    Therefore, it is not great thing if also his ministers are outwardly transformed as ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
    They are sons (mature ones) of Satan, Ephesians 2:2

    in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
    The tares in the wheat, Matthew 13:25

    The importance of truth in birth and fruit
    Birth - What is the basis for your hope, 1 Peter 3:15

    But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
    Their actions, not their words, James 1:23

    Paul refused to take anything from the Corinthians saints so no one had a boast against him
    Paul had the right to be cared for by the Corinthians saints, 1 Corinthians 9:11-12

    If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things? If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more? Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.
    Paul did this out of Love, 2 Corinthians 11:11

    All pastors should be cared for by their assemblies, 1 Timothy 5:17

    Pastors are not to be greedy for money, Titus 1:7

    The World Fond of its Own, John 15:19

    Their Outward Appearance is that of a Minister of Righteousness, 2 Corinthians 11:15
