An Exposition of the Four Gospels, Vols. I & II

These classic texts offer focused, verse-by-verse commentary and exposition of the Gospels by Thomas Adam, a celebrated scholar in eighteenth-century England. Editor Amos Westoby enhanced these commentaries by including the whole text of the Gospels and arranged the commentary into manageable portions for family reading while maintaining the quality and depth of Adam’s exposition. Volume 1 includes a memoir of the author by Westoby—a volume in itself—and Adam’s exposition of Matthew. Volume 2 contains Adam’s exposition of Mark, Luke, and John.
