About the Editors
Michael Welker is Professor of Systematic Theology and Director of the Internationales Wissenschaftsfourm at the University of Heidelberg. Among his influential books are Creation and Reality and God the Spirit (Fortress Press).
Miroslav Volf is Henry B. Wright Professor of Systematic Theology at Yale Divinity School. A native of Croatia, he is a member of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. and the Evangelical Church in Croatia, and he was involved for a decade in international ecumenical dialogues, especially with the Vatican Council for Promotion of Christian Unity. Among his many book publications are Work in the Spirit: Toward a Theology of Work (1991), Exclusion and Embrace: A Theological Exploration of Identity, Otherness, and Reconciliation (1996), After Our Likeness: The Church as the Image of the Trinity (1998), and most recently Free of Charge: Giving and Forgiving in a Culture Stripped of Grace (2005).
