In The Great High Priest within the Veil, Thomas Alexander, a nineteenth-century Presbyterian minister, provides an exposition of chapter 13 through 17 of the Gospel of John—the Last Supper and Jesus’ discourse that followed. The substance of the text was originally delivered in several Sabbath lectures, though Alexander “altogether rewrote” them.
