Digital Logos Edition
This book is a series of addresses arranged to present the Atonement in an apologetic light. The essential feature of these sermons is their study of the Christian consciousness. The author puts the example of Jesus at the forefront of the study. He does not want to dress up the teaching with a wide variety of religious experiences but knows that the Christian thought process does not always have to be rapturous or passionate to be important. A few sample chapters include: • Simply to The Cross I Cling • The Sacrifice of God the Father • The Dark Line in God’s Face • Love’s Supreme Disclosure • The Contrasts of The Night of Betrayal • The Joy Set Before Him About the Author William MacCallum Clow was born in 1853 in Scotland. He studied at the University of Glasgow, and was granted a Ministerial License by the Presbytery of Glasgow in 1881. For the rest of his life, Clow was a Free Church Minister at different churches, and also was part of the faculty of the United Free Church College, where he taught theology for several years. He died in 1930 in Glasgow, Scotland.
