Overview

The Great Texts of the Bible: I Corinthians is an extensive commentary made up of essays, sermons, anecdotes, and scriptural interpretations. Scottish Presbyterian minister James Hastings, who compiled The Great Texts of the Bible in the early twentieth century, provides helpful and personal observations on the Scripture texts. He presents word meanings, expositions, poetry, and quotations from many authors and thinkers, as well as a list of references. Each section is outlined into major topics and points, offering readable commentary.

The Great Texts of the Bible: I Corinthians is perfect for pastors and anyone else wanting expository notes on key Scripture passages. Hastings’s work is encouraging, clear, and well researched. The volume contains both a topical and a scriptural table of contents for reference.
