H. C. Adams’ The Judges of Israel; or Tales for Sunday Reading tells the story of Judges in a fresh, unique way. Adams’ work was originally intended for mature children and adults. After each section of Judges the author includes a section of dialogue between two fictional subjects. These subjects discuss the text and ask questions that related to the text.
H. C. Adams was fellow of Magdalen College in Oxford. He is also the author of Sundays at Encombe, Schoolboy Honour, and Tales of Charlton School.
