Johannine literature offers some of the most beautiful, majestic, and profound theology in the entire Bible. Within its pages can be found the highest Christology, the capstone of eschatology, and the heartbreaking struggles of a community committed to Christ. However, it does not always get the attention it deserves in New Testament studies.
This festschrift seeks to remedy that by drawing together some of the most respected biblical scholars, who bring their expertise to bear on various aspects of the Gospel of John, Revelation, and the Johannine Epistles. Their contributions have been collected in honor and celebration of the career of Benny C. Aker—a preeminent Pentecostal scholar, teacher, and mentor.

Craig S. Keener is professor of New Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary, and is the author of over a dozen books, four of which have won book awards in Christianity Today. One, IVP Bible Background Commentary: New Testament, has sold more than half a million copies. He has authored scholarly commentaries on Matthew, John, Acts, Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, and Revelation.
Jeremy S. Crenshaw is a PhD student in biblical studies at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Jordan Daniel May is a correctional chaplain with the Assemblies of God.
