Digital Logos Edition
World War I came upon the western world as a surprise, and it was only after their parent nations were pulled into war that churches throughout Europe began to question the role of Christianity in the war of states. In War and the Fear of God, James Denney delves into the difficult questions of the Great War and the role of Christians. “Faith,” he says, “is the best security against panic. It assures us that whatever happens God is over all, and that while we are right with Him no real harm can come to us.”
