Preaching the Psalms (CM328) teaches students how to interpret and preach psalms according to their structure and the larger context of the book of Psalms. The course begins by introducing the mechanics of Hebrew poetry, including parallelism and the use of imagery, and explains how they affect meaning. About Mark D. Futato
Dr. Mark D. Futato is the Robert L. Maclellan Professor of Old Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary. Dr. Futato received his PhD from The Catholic University of America. He served on the translation team for the Book of Psalms in The New Living Translation (NLT), contributed study notes for the ESV Study Bible and The Spirit of the Reformation Study Bible, and contributed to the New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology and Exegesis (5 vols.).

This course really surprised me. Mark Futato's understanding of the Psalms is off the scale. Few others understand the big picture (theme, flow of the 5 books) as well as Mark does. I never watch videos, but he's got me in.
