This book is an absolute, must read for anyone involved in any kind of teaching or preaching ministry. Dr. Seif has condensed easily hundreds of hours of study of historical documents into something easy to understand and digest. To the Ends of the Earth instigates further study, critical thought and reexamination of deeply rooted (but sometimes problematic) beliefs about both the early Church and the manner in which we worship today. To me, this book exhorts (or admonishes) those entrusted with the Gospel to think beyond what they received by way of college/seminary lectures and denominational traditions and to look more objectively at the historical evidence so we can carefully evaluate our beliefs and practice against those of the first century Church.
