- I read these books about 12 years ago, and found them profoundly insightful. Wink brings a deep insight into the nature of these powers and their domination systems, and practical examples of effective engagement with the powers that result in transformation. For those who are serious about understanding how the powers establish and maintain strongholds, this is a great read. Wink's books help the church come to and adequate understanding of the operations of the powers and provides good historical examples of decisive action to effectively engage the powers, resulting in individual, ecclesiastical and societal transformation. These books lay out a wonderful "multi-dimensional topographical map" that allows readers to penetrate the motives, methods, and manifestations of the powers operations in this world; And show how to effectively engage their domination systems. I have recommended these books, along with "Naming the Powers" also by Walter Wink, numerous times over the last 12 years.
